I love Easter!
Maybe it’s the freshness of the spring air or the promise of warmer days ahead, whichever it is, Easter equals FUN at our house! I remember as a kid the Easter Bunny would hide little chocolate eggs all around the living room for my sisters and I to find. Nowadays, the Easter Bunny takes it up a notch and provides my kids with a full-on Scavenger Hunt! It’s totally a blast and we all have so much fun. Not all the kids can read, so they all follow the clues as a group which empowers the readers and encourages them to all work together.
This year, why not do an Easter Scavenger Hunt? I’ve already done most of the work for you! ๐
Supplies:
Paper
Scissors
Fancy Pen
Easter surprise
Instructions:
I like to handwrite my clues, but you could also just cut and paste these into a word document.
- Stand on one leg and reach down deep – then go to the place where you like to sleep.
- When youโre playing and you stain your shirt, we use this to remove the dirt.
- Jump up and down and count to three – then go out to our favourite tree.
- Do five push ups then go inside and look in a shoe that is untied.
- If you want your teeth to be clean and bright, you use one of these to keep them white.
- When you want to draw a pic, you use these to be artistic.
- Look up high then look down low, this is the place where me keep mayo.
- Spin in a circle and count to two, this is where we keep our shoes.
- When you’ve really got to go, you sit on this and let it flow.
- This is the place where we sit and eat, once you get there you’ll find a treat!
We avoid conventional chocolate at all costs. With GMO soy and artificial ingredients, it hardly feels worthy enough of being included in our Easter celebration. Here are some of my favorite alternative Easter Treats:
Organic Chocolate Bunny by Lake Champlain. This baby comes packaged in a compostable cellophane gift bag and tied with ribbon made from recycled bottles.
Annie’s Organic Fruit Snacks – non chocolate but still a treat for the kids!
Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups – chocolate AND peanut butter, need I say more? ๐
DIY Peanut Butter Cups – You control the ingredients! These use honey instead of sugar.
Homemade Gummies – Yup, you heard me.
Gourmet Marshmallows – These you make yourself. My kids absolutely love these and the best part is they are made without corn syrup and sugar!
Happy Easter!!
